Buses from Venice Airport with Bus Routes and Times
VCE's Public Transport Ticket Office is located in the Arrivals Hall of Venice Airport, but there are also ticket machines in the baggage reclaim area near carousels 3 and 5. You can also buy tickets at the bus stops outside the terminal. Buying a ticket on the bus costs a little more.
There are three bus operators: FSBusitaliaveneto, ACTV and ATVO. You can contact them at their information offices or visit their websites:
ACTV Tel. +39 041 24 24
ATVO Tel. +39 0421 594672 (airport office), or +39 0421 5944 (central office), www.atvo.it
FSBusitaliaveneto +39 049 8206811, www.fsbusitaliaveneto.it
Buses of all companies leave at regular intervals from the terminal's front. ACTV line 5 and line 35 are the buses to take for central Venice's bus terminal at Venezia Piazzale Roma. ACTV bus lines 15 and 25 go to Mestre Railway Station and city center. The ATVO Treviso Express also leaves from the front of the terminal.
If you need to travel to Abano Terme, Montegrotto Terme and Padua, you will need to board FSBitaliaveneto line buses. The daily service of the ATVO Pordenone Express for Portogruaro and Pordone is also accessible from the terminal's front bus stations.
The Alpine resorts can be reached with the Cortina Express bus service that connects Venice International Airport with more than 40 ski resorts, including Tai, Cortina and Longarone. The ATVO coach service (Venezia to Cortina) links Venice's airport with Cortina also, and goes to Alpago, Val Zondana and Val Pusteria too.
ATVO buses link Marco Polo Venice Airport with the seaside resorts in the Veneto, near Venice, and the Friuli Venezia Giulia region: Bibione, Cavallino, Eraclea, Jesolo and Lignano.
During the winter months passengers bound for ski resorts in the Dolomites can also take the Dolomiti Ski Shuttle from Venice Airport to Arabba, Alleghe, Canale D'Agordo, Marmolada, Falcade, Selva di Cadore and Val Di Zoldo. The Fly Ski Shuttle runs only every Saturday and Sunday from the start of December to the end of March, connecting Venice Airport with Val di Fassa, Val di Fiemme and San Martino di Castrozza.
From Mestre Railway Station passengers bound for Venice's Treviso Airport can take a Terravision bus (www.terravision.eu) for 11.00 euros, one-way.
Ticket Prices
Taking ATVO's Venice Piazzalo Roma Express from Venice Airport costs 8.00 euros, one way. Going from Venice Airport to Mestre Railway Station on the Fly Bus Express costs also 8.00 euros, one way. For timetables, please visit the above www.atvo.it website.
Alilaguna Water Buses to Venice
Linea Blu, Linea Arancio and Linea Rossa water buses leave Venice International Airport from Alilaguna's dock, linking to Venice, Murano, Burano and Lido. Tickets for water buses are available from the Public Transport Ticket Office in the Arrivals Hall, from ticket machines near baggage reclaim carousels 3 or 5, from the dock or onboard water buses. Follow light blue signs for “Water Transport” at the terminal to Level 1, where the Moving Walkway leads to the landing stage.
